Today I stumbled upon iGoogle and wanted to share my thoughts:

I’ve seen people with iGoogle pages before, but never actually thought of setting up one for myself until today. I was searching for a Calorie Counting Widget from Lab Pixies and after adding this widget to iGoogle, I began seeing just how much iGoogle has to offer and decided to explore some more widgets. In additon to the calorie counter, I had a calendar, weather, news feed and top stories widgets. I changed them around to organize them how I wanted and ery pleased overall with how quicky I was able to set up the iGoogle page.

I was considering making this my home page, but had one reservation. My original hompage was Gmail and I liked having that come up first thing when I open up my web browswer, and was reluctant to make the change. Then I found a Gmail widget that I could stick on my iGoogle page that displays the 5 most recent e-mails and allows for composition of emails as well. After seeing this I decided to change my homepage to www.google.com/ig.

Give it a try and see how you like it, you might just decide to make the change too!
